A few more games
The gem of the recent addition is finally having a copy of The Adventures of Willy Beamish, an oldschool adventure game. The rest of the games are newish, with a couple of long time wanted Wii games in the mix.
I've finally got some new shelves up in my game room and soon I am prepared to take some new photos of it.
New retro games!
I've started buying some retro games again. This time I got somewhat hooked on Nintendo 64 since I wanted to play Zelda: Ocarina of Time with my daughter. I bought that, and a few more, carts. Can't wait to start playing it! Need to finish Uncharted 3 though.
New retro games coming up!
I've started buying retro games again! Right now I've been focusing on Nintendo 64 and getting some Game & Watch games. The latter is alot more fun than I expected and Nintendo 64 will also be a joyous journey back in time. My plan is to play Zelda: Ocarina of Time with my daughter and son to let them see the magic for themselves.
New games and a new platform!
I've gotten hooked on the old Game & Watch games of the old and have gotten a few for my collection. It's quite nice but I need a good space for them, preferably a glass monitor but since my game room isn't finished (and already quite packed) that might be a idealistic "dream".
Added som more games
A few more titles. Mostly new games though. Soon the KnockoutJS version of the site will be finished and I can concentrate on collecting games!
A few more games!
I've mostly been buzy with my new site, but since that takes more time than I hoped I decided to add a few more games to my site. When it comes to playing games, I've spent quite a lot of time with Fallout: New Vegas (finally!) and Galactic Civilizations (a quite exciting addition to the strategy genre, even though I'm quite late to the show).
New games, hardware and new grades set
Along with the progress with organizing new game room a number of new hardware and games are added. I have also spent some time playing a few games (WHAT?!) which has been really nice. Especially my long awaited encounter with Psychonauts which still is a really good game, even though I think I would have been more impressed had I played it closer to the release.
Anyway, the game room is progressing but isn’t quite close to completion. I’ll add a new video soon.
A bunch of new hardware added
I've not been very busy acquiring new retro games or hardware, but I have been busy moving all my games to my new game room. Whilst doing that I took the time to photograph my hardware items. Enjoy about 20 items, with more to come.
Goodbye game room 1.0
It’s time to move the game room which has been my second home (well, it’s in my home) for ten years. I shot a video of it before I started packing the games. Soon I will start with Game Room 2.0 which will be even greater and hopefully even better planned than before! It also gives me the opportunity to go through my inventory yet again.
I have 752 ungraded games in my collection... :S
While I was getting my collection in order before the move to another room in our house I retrieved a list of all games which I haven’t played enough to grade. The count was 752. That’s a lot of games. And I’m 36 at the moment. Let’s say I want to spend four hours a game, that means I need to spend about 125 days in total, while I have to work, be a husband and a father. And in the meantime new games are being made.
When I was a more active gaming writer I foretold this. I am doomed to play retro games for the rest of my life. While trying to catch up with the past, the present gets old. Oh well. That’s gaming for you.
Here’s the list of games I haven’t graded yet
